Now that I have had opportunity to set down my things and find something resembling a chair, it's best to do the polite thing and let people know who the jetlagged asian gentleman who arrived with the lovely Emma Frost (and the charming Mister Wisdom, though I truly can't blame him at all). Forgive me if it is a bit disjointed - even with all the travelling I've had to do over the years, a trans-atlantic flight still has a way of messing with me something awful.

My name is Shinobi Shaw. If 'Shaw' rings a bell, all I can say is "father did it", and humbly request that I not be mangled beyond recognition. At least, not until I've gotten some rest and a chance to find out what on earth he's been doing under my nose. I'll be staying in suite 216, and while I see some signs of life in here, I'm told my roommate is out of town for a few days.. best enjoy the quiet while I can, I suppose.

I've not had opportunity to meet.. well, pretty much anyone, yet, and I'm sure there are at least a few of you (primarily in the faculty) who'd like to meet me. Anyone who wishes it, my door is open. I may be a bit glued to my bed resting today, but I'm not exactly tired, so anyone is welcome to come by if they wish. I only hope you can all forgive me and understand a somewhat slurry english accent - though I think Johnny Depp did a lot of good acquainting most of the world with it. I should be back in top-form soon.

Is there a piano on-campus, by any chance?

There's a piano and an electronic keyboard or two in the music room, and I bet there's a grand piano around here someplace.

And no mangling on this end as long as you don't have giant killer robots on your speed-dial.

Oh, yes, father and I need to have a long talk, I think. Once the, you know, seething rage thing subsides. The piano(s) will help that intensely. Thank you. Also for the lack of mangling. Very nice to sort-of-meet you, too.

Sorry, I keep forgetting we mostly only know about the giant killer robots because my girlfriend is a genius. Um, the short version is, there's giant killer robots. Ms. Frost knows more than that, though.

Good luck with your seething rage thing. I've got chocolate chip cookies if that'll help.

There's at least a baby grand in the third parlour downstairs - take a left at the front door and head through the main parlour into the reception room. From there hang a left down the corridor with the really nice victorian fainting couch. It's the second door on the right, but unless you can walk through walls I'd talk to the Professor or Mr. Marko about getting the room unlocked.

Jamie has offered me cookies. I can't run away at least until I've gotten them. Turning down free food is stupid impolite.

I haven't made sushi in a very long time, but I do know where I could find some good recipes, and if you need a lesson in specific, I know a chef in Manhattan who makes it very well. I could try to convince him to teach you.

Coffee mug suggests coffee is present. I'll be needing some of that in the morning. I don't wake up very well.

If you stay however, I definitely want the name of your chef friend. My roomie has threatened dire things if I don't learn how to make some decent sushi.

There is always coffee present somewhere around here. Trick is knowing who you should get it from. My coffee is fairly genteel, french press and not too biting. Jamie's grandfather's coffee once fought off a suprise Nazi attack. Moira's doubles as silver polish and, according to Marie-Ange, dilutes into a nice paint.

Take your pick.

Now that I have invaded your journal with odd protestations of Doug's cuteness, and while I have a chance to get away from the infirmary:

I am Marie-Ange Colbert, occasionally called Angie, mostly by Doug and Paige. I kind of like it. If you see a odd Pokemon-looking umlaut or cedille running about, those are mind. I make animated psionic... projections from drawings and pictures. I hate that explantion for my power. I need a better one. Actually, if you see anything odd, cartoony and a little squishy running around, it is probably mine. They tend to get away from me.

You missed the cartoon superheros of Jamie and Ev that I was doing a few months ago. :) One of these days I will get around to finishing those, as they are still in black and white pencil.

Angie or Marie-Ange works, it is .. dependant on how formal you want to be in French, but here, it seems to be personal preference.
